When Jesus began His ministry in the region of Galilee, He called men to follow Him – to be His disciples. The first men He called, Peter and his brother Andrew, were fishermen. He called them while they were fishing, and they left their fishing nets and followed Him. Jesus told Peter He would make him a “fisher of men.”
