How many of you have your own Bible? How many of you have a Bible at your house? Do you know what the Bible is? It is the Word of God. God had a lot of helpers that He talked to and they wrote down what He told them to say.

The Bible is one big book, but in it, there are 66 smaller books. The Bible is divided into two parts: the Old Testament and the New Testament. All of the Bible was written by different men who told about things God had told them or things God had done. There are stories in the Bible about when God created the earth and about Noah and the Ark and about Moses and David and Goliath.  There are a lot of stories about children, too. God loves children very much and there are many things about them in the Bible.

The most important thing to remember is that the Bible is the holy Word of God. It’s like God’s letter to us. Have you ever gotten a letter or card in the mail? It’s a lot of fun to open a card just for you. The Bible is God’s letter to us. So when anyone reads the Bible or when you start reading the Bible, remember that it is God talking to you! We can’t hear Him talk, but we can read about what He is telling us in the Bible.

The Bible is a wonderful letter from God and He wants everyone to read it.
